Kara Dennison's Cosplay

Princess Tutu

The white overdress is a modified ballet dress -- I cut the straps off and replaced them with one clear strap sewn on halter-style. I made the back doo-dads, very simply, from tulle and ribbon hand-stitched on. The tutu itself is real and not attached to the costume, to make the whole thing easier to store. The sleeve puffs were simple enough to make, the bracelets are beads on elastic, and the pendant is Sculpey, paint, painted wire, and clear thin plastic. I can't go on pointe, so I laced some flat shoes pointe-style. As for the wig, it was made by a friend and her magical skills, so I can't account for the making of it.
